Will Warrior Wrestle In The US?
« Thread Started on May 6, 2008, 5:20pm »

I want to know what you guys think. Do you think he will wrestle in the US or will this comeback begin and end in Europe with NWE? If he was to wrestle stateside what fed would he join? WWE, TNA, someone else? And where would an appearance stateside lead? A title reign? A feud with another top wrestler, or just a one off surprise run in?

Nail your colours to the cross here guys. Let me know what the fans think!

I'd love to see Warrior wrestle in the US again. I just hope that he can get a good deal and is treated right. I also hope that wherever he goes, he will be put in good angles/feuds as well. :)

I think that after Warrior gets done rocking the entire wrestling world on June 25, the federations here in the US would be crazy not to approach him with a great deal. Obviously, Wrestlemania would be the ultimate stage for him and I wouldn't rule it out. As we all know, in the world of professional wrestling, anything can happen!

I think Warrior could wrestle in WWE again IF WWE finally figured out their program. Warrior has said he won't do the degenerate stuff. The new companies start up to try to offer a different product than WWE. I think WWE should just do this:
RAW = attitude era style programming
Smackdown = family friendly programming (ala old school)
ECW = all the crazy TLC, thumbtack, baseball bat, high flying, hardcore stuff.
With that setup, I think Warrior could find a home at Smackdown, and I think WWE programming would appeal to a larger audience.

I think he will go to the WWE. And I think it's good to remember that The Ultimate Warrior character is a brand in and of itself, and if that character doesn't partake or take a nonchalant view in the racy (mostly filler) storylines, then he will stand on his own merits.

With all the recent rumours (training with Booker T, Warrior saying he wants to wrestle McMahon at WM25) it´s really hard to tell where he´s headed.

As someone else here posted a couple days ago, if he goes back to WWE, some people will say, now he comes back to Vince, because he (Warrior) needs Vince, needs him to bring him back into the spotlight. And this is like saying, everything that was said on the DVD was right.
On the other hand, if he does not join WWE, then people will say he´s not man enough to step up to the people, whose company he´s been criticising for years.

There´s some good basic for a feud with Vinnie, the lawsuit. This could lead into a "winner gets all the rights" match, with the winner getting the rights to the name, music, just everything involved in a wrestling character.

In TNA you have Sting. He could have a feud with him or work with him as a team again.

There´s just too many possibilities to what he´s gonna do.

Something, that just popped in my head is, what if it turns out, Warrior´s the owner/co-owner of NWE and plans a tour throughout the States with NWE?

I certainly do believe Warrior will wrestle in the US again. Everyone knows that Vince screwed himself by messing over Warrior. Considering the lawsuit, this would be a great opportunity for Vince to get out of the lawsuit and gain the intensity back that is the ULTIMATE WARRIOR! ;D ;D ;D

Ok, here is my thoughts on if Warrior returns to the US.

I admit, I would like to see him return to WWE and be part of the Smackdown roster. Only reason I say that is because, they have Undertaker and Undertaker has always had respect for Warrior, and the same the other way around and they have always spoke good about each other. I'm sure those two could come up with some interesting ideas for the others as well and also work some great tag-teams, maybe a one-on-one match like the good 'ol days. Edge saw Warrior at Wrestle Mania 6 and somewhat has respect for Warrior and Batista is a Warrior fan (even though he did use a trademark move or taunt so it's called) so I'm sure with the others also, things could go well for Warrior. Raw is just too wacked now. Like I said, I think it would be great for Warrior to appear on Smackdown.

I would love to see Warrior back in the U.S.! I think a WWE comeback match at Wrestle Mania in Houston would bring a lot of old fans back to WWE and give Warrior the chance to once again stick it to Vince. Take more of his money Warrior, you deserve it!

Also, I would get the chance to see it cause I'm near Houston!

Another plus, Warrior could take on the jokers on that DVD Vince put out.

I think that Vince McMahon has to concede defeat here if he is to remain a successful businessman in the world of pro wrestling. If his pride gets in the way of making every possible effort to sign the Warrior (even for a short term contract) then the federation that gets him here in the states will be without any doubt the top rated show. Right now at this point and time more than ever, the WWE is in danger of being completely run over if any federation creates a huge pop & a kick ass storyline. On today's wrestling playing field, Vince has to realize that his brand name & logo has no "star power" any longer, and cannot ride it's coattails. A better product is all it takes, and the WWE could be forgotten about overnight if he lets Warrior go elsewhere.

On the other side of the coin, if WWE does sign Warrior, at this point & time I guarantee it will catapult the WWE to it's absolute height in popularity. Vince has shown a horrible business sense in continuing to drag Hulk Hogan in the ring when it's obvious everyone is tired of him and doesn't even cheer anymore when he shows up out of nowhere, even at a Wrestlemania. Vince has to realize that UW was right....The Ultimate Warrior has always been bigger than Vince McMahon & the WWE put together, and he can either save the WWE, or watch it fade away.

There's no way McMahon will let TNA get him, or any other promotion. This is about survival.
