I know its been at least a year since this happened but really? Brock lesnar.. They couldn't of picked somebody who isn't a half time wrestler?
And now he is the world heavyweight AND WWE Champion? Whats going on?

It was a shock. But if the streak had to end, I think it would have been either Brock or Cena that should have done it The streak got so big, you need someone with a ton of credibility, and Brock is legitimately a tough dude. There's that perception that he's that kind of monster. If I were Taker, that's probably how I'd want to do give up the streak, unless they had someone they knew was their next Cena.
They really don't have that at this point though.
Some have pointed to Reigns as the guy that should have beaten the streak. I just don't know about that. There's no telling if he'll really take off. He's getting pushed hard, but he's really at least a year or two from being ready for a true run at the top.
With Brock, they can use that to make some money. If they have Brock run with the title a while and have it culminate in a big main event match at Wrestlemania, maybe you use that to get over your next big superstar.
It seemed odd and unlikely to put the title on Brock. Maybe he's willing to do a lot more PPV appearances while he's running with the title. I guess that would suggest they are placing a lot less important on house shows vs the WWE Network and PPVs.
